About Me
Nestled in the heart of Chesterfield, I am passionate about growing and using UK grown blooms to create beautiful wedding flowers.
One of my fondest childhood memories was assisting my Grandad, John Macfie (an RHS Chelsea Gold Medal Winner) grow Sweet Peas. I vividly recall skipping down row after row of delicate blooms, with their kaleidoscope of colour and divine scent.
Unsurprisingly, sweet peas are my favourite flower, hence the name of my business, and if your getting married in their growing season, I’m sure they will appear somewhere in your floral scheme.
In 2011, my life changed dramatically and caused me to rethink my career, which is when I decided to follow my heart and retrain as a florist, with the dream of, one day running my own business.
After qualifying as a florist in 2013 I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most talented florists in our area, and have accumulated a wealth of valuable experience and knowledge of all things floral. In February 2018 I took the plunge and opened my floristry business, of which I am immensely proud.
I have always been a keen gardener, so it seemed natural for me to grow my own cut flowers. It’s a great feeling to visit my cutting patch, and select beautiful flowers to use in my wedding work.Picked the day before your wedding, you cannot get any fresher!
I am as dedicated and enthusiastic now as I’ve ever been, I love what I do, and this passion shows in my work.
